Professor Du Jiefu

MD, PhD, Master's Supervisor, Chinese PLA General Hospital & Medical School (PLA 301 Hospital Medical College)

Master's Supervisor at the PLA 301 Hospital Medical College in Beijing, holds a Ph.D. from the PLA Medical Advanced Studies Institute and completed postdoctoral research at Johns Hopkins University in the United States. 

With 40 years of experience in clinical medical practice, has extensive expertise in emergency and critical care medicine, specializing in hypertension, coronary heart disease treatment, especially in the diagnosis and treatment of various complex internal diseases.

Professor Zhang Qiming

Professor, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences

Professor Zhang Qiming from the Medical Experiment Center of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences has developed a nonlinear differential equation mathematical model to reflect the profound relationships among the "Five Organs" in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He has established a database of historical medical case records and conducted statistical analyses to identify the causes, locations, and symptoms of common syndromes. He has proposed functional positioning for the TCM "Five Organ System" and outlined five major features of TCM clinical testing. 

Professor Chan Kam Wa, Chris

Assistant Professor, School of Chinese Medicine; Associate Director, Vincent V.C. Woo Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Institute, Hong Kong Baptist University

Chris is a physician-scientist engages in integrative clinical services and research of infectious diseases (e.g. COVID), respiratory diseases (e.g. COPD), metabolic diseases (e.g. diabetes), chronic kidney disease, and other conditions. Chris is currently the Assistant Professor of the School of Chinese Medicine and Associate Director of the Vincent V.C. Woo Chinese Medicine Clinical Research Institute. 

Chris received clinical Chinese medicine training from the HKBU (BCM&BSc, MCM), Tung Wah Group of Hospitals (clinical training) and Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine (MD); clinical epidemiology, personalized medicine, internal medicine and basic science training from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (MSc Public Health), University Medical Center Groningen (overseas training), Queen Mary Hospital and HKU (PhD). He received 23 awards, including 2 international awards. Chris has served for Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Hospital Authority, World Health Organization and KPMG Advisory on clinical medicine, health administration, medical research and healthcare policy previously.

Professor Gary Lau

Director, HKU Stroke; Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong; Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer, ReMobility Ltd

Professor Gary Lau is currently Assistant Dean (Education Innovations) and Director of HKU Stroke at the LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong; and CoFounder of ReMobility. He has published >170 articles/book chapters on stroke and have developed a number of innovative platforms to improve the prevention and holistic management of stroke. He serves on a number of local and international committees relating to stroke and has received numerous prestigious awards such as a Gold Medal with Congratulations of the Jury from the International Exhibition of Inventions at Geneva, Award for Patient-Oriented or Clinical Research in Hypertension from the American Heart Association and Smart Ageing Leader Award from the Golden Age Foundation. He was selected as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons in Hong Kong in 2024. 

Professor Hui Ka-Kit

Physician, Founder and Director, Center for East-West Medicine, Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA Health)

Ka-Kit Hui, MD, FACP, is the Wallis Annenberg Chair in Integrative East-West Medicine, Professor, Founder and Director of the Center for East-West Medicine at the Department of Medicine of the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. Dr Hui, a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, is an internationally acclaimed clinician, educator and researcher and is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology, with an expertise in Geriatrics. He is a recognized authority on Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine, and is bilingual in Chinese and English. 

Since 1990s, Dr Hui has served as an advisor to the World Health Organization (WHO) in different areas, including Standard Terminology in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Appropriate Integration of Traditional and Complementary Medicine (T&CM) into Health Systems and Health Care Services, and Quality of Academic Education in Traditional Medicine. He has also provided consultation to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH), health insurance companies, drug companies and the media, and has held visiting and honorary professorships in various universities throughout the world. In 

December 1993, Dr Hui founded the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, which is one of the first integrative medicine centers in the United States. He has developed a model system of comprehensive care that is a patient-centered, problem-solving approach emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention, treatment, and is safe, effective, affordable and accessible to all. The Center’s clinical program receives referrals from more than 500 physicians within UCLA for refractory problems, including many pain conditions, and continues to expand to meet the demand for a holistic patient care model at UCLA and beyond.

Mr. Paul Anthony Yuen

Director, Dayton Industrial Co. Ltd.; Secretary-General, The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Ltd.

Paul Yuen, a prominent industrialist in Hong Kong, has dedicated over two decades to revolutionizing the world of smart wearable technology. As the Director of R&D and Administration at Dayton Industrial Co., Ltd. Yuen has spearheaded the integration of traditional watchmaking with cutting-edge smart electronics. 

Yuen's visionary leadership extends beyond his own business ventures. He serves as the Secretary-General of the Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries Ltd. and a member of the Hong Kong Productivity Council Watch and Clock Testing Centre Management Committee (HKWCTC). 

Driven by his belief that 4G smartwatches hold the key to the IoT (Internet of Things) revolution, Yuen is passionately advocating for the seamless convergence of timeless craftsmanship and innovative technology. His unwavering dedication to this cause has positioned him as a trailblazer, inspiring others to embrace the boundless possibilities of wearable devices in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
