When the body’s systems are in harmony, they support each other efficiently, leading to clarity, resilience, and sustained performance.

I recently interviewed Paul Yuen, Director of Dayton Industrial Co. Ltd. (Watch2Care) and Secretary General of The Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades and Industries. The Dayton Group of Companies has been designing, developing, and manufacturing consumer electronic products for over 60 years, with a vision focused on sports-specific performance monitors, home automation systems, personal security sensors, and e-mobility human–machine interfaces.

Watch2Care’s revolutionary smartwatch, blending Eastern and Western medicine, is making its United States launch at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026 in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 6–9, 2026. The watch offers a more holistic approach to preventive healthcare, providing Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) suggestions based on health reports — a core feature not found on mainstream wearables.

Thank you for joining us. Watch2Care sits at the intersection of TCM and modern biosensor technology. What problem in preventive healthcare did you feel Western wearables weren’t fully addressing that led you to integrate TCM principles into this watch?

Unlike other devices that focus only on basic biometrics, Watch2Care Vital provides organ-system insights inspired by TCM across the heart, liver, spleen, lung, and kidney functional systems. TCM theory views the body as an interconnected whole system, focusing on balancing vital energy to maintain health, with illness arising from imbalances. When one system struggles, others feel the impact — creating a cascade of symptoms that may seem unrelated but are deeply connected. When these systems are in harmony, they support each other efficiently, leading to optimal physical performance, mental clarity, emotional stability, and strong resilience against stress and illness.

Most smartwatches generate data, but many users don’t know what to do with it. How does Watch2Care translate raw health metrics into meaningful, actionable insights rather than just more information?

Most smartwatches generate data but lack interpretation of that data. Watch2Care Vital collects approximately 8 million raw data points per day from each user, drawing on 30 years of research, over 9 million historical user cases, and 300,000 active users to identify subtle trends across demographic categories. This allows us to provide highly personalized health assessments and daily recommendations. Its AI engine — trained on classical TCM diagnostic references — detects early physiological changes related to blood-pressure variability, cardiovascular strain, and stroke-related risk factors, translating them into clear, actionable insights.

A defining feature of your platform is organ-focused health reporting based on TCM: heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys. Can you explain how these insights are derived and how users should interpret them responsibly alongside conventional medical guidance?

The daily TCM report provides performance insights for the overall body and each of the five main organs, presenting a score out of 100 along with a color code — blue, green, yellow, and red — to reflect performance levels. Recommendations are provided when a score falls below 60 and the indicator shows red. Below is a screenshot for reference.

TCM emphasizes early imbalance before disease appears. How does Watch2Care detect subtle physiological shifts that might otherwise be overlooked in mainstream wearables?

TCM theory views the body as an interconnected whole system, focusing on balancing vital energy to maintain health, with illness arising from imbalance.

Sleep is one of the fastest ways the body signals stress and dysregulation. What makes your smart sleep alerts, especially those triggered by abnormal heart rate changes, different from standard sleep tracking?

Watch2Care provides a vibration alert when heart rate and SpO₂ drop to dangerous levels during sleep. Other sleep trackers do not continuously monitor vital data throughout the night; instead, they primarily record sleep patterns to determine sleep quality.

For high performers juggling stress, travel, and long work hours, consistency is often the hardest part of health. What behavioral or design principles guided how Watch2Care fits into daily life without becoming another device people ignore?

Watch2Care has been designed with several key behavioral and design principles to seamlessly fit into daily life without becoming just another overlooked device.

User-Centric Design: The Watch2Care Vital smartwatch prioritizes user experience and practicality. Its lightweight, sleek design features a ceramic bezel, titanium casing, and an easy-to-detach, waterproof German oil leather strap. It also comes with a silicone or webbing strap, allowing it to fit naturally into different lifestyles.

Actionable Insights: Instead of overwhelming users with data, Watch2Care translates complex biometric signals into clear, actionable health insights. Each day, users receive personalized recommendations based on the Five Functional Systems Framework, helping them understand their body’s needs without requiring extensive medical knowledge. These insights guide health management and encourage active engagement with wellness.

Real-Time Monitoring: Continuous 24/7 monitoring allows Watch2Care to capture patterns and trends over time and automatically generate daily medical reports. This enables early detection of potential imbalances and supports fast-paced lifestyles by fostering timely action based on real-time health data.

Preventive Focus: By emphasizing preventive health through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Watch2Care encourages users to view health as a continuous journey rather than a series of appointments or fixes. This holistic approach fosters a deeper connection to well-being, making it easier to prioritize health amid busy lives.

In summary, Watch2Care is designed to complement the demanding lifestyles of high performers by providing a supportive, intuitive health monitoring system that empowers users to take control of their health without feeling burdened by another device.

Looking ahead, how do you envision Eastern medical frameworks influencing the next generation of preventive health technology in the U.S. market over the next five to ten years?

During serious medical recovery, the body often remains in a state of imbalance. Patients can follow the recommendations provided in the reports to help restore healthy balance, allowing them to take proactive steps in managing their health.

Watch2Care fosters a sense of responsibility for personal health, enhancing the patient experience and promoting a collaborative approach to recovery between patients and doctors. By bridging the gap between medical visits, Watch2Care helps users maintain balance and stability in their lives.
